Industrial Modular Buildings – Premium Design & Build Service
For the whole project, from enquiry to post build, you will have an expert technical project manager who will be your sole point of contact for the following process:
After your initial enquiry we will send a proposal and estimate for your modular temporary buildings project.
In order to firm up the cost (which could go up or down) we need to visit you and inspect the area you want to build on. During the meeting we will discuss your project in more detail including timescales and business objectives.
Once we have a full understanding of your project and have inspected the build area, we will provide further quotations until we have reached an agreed proposal. We will also supply a 3D drawing as an exact visual representation of your modular building.
On agreement of the project, we will ask you to sign and return a formal order confirmation.
Prior to the manufacture of your industrial modular building we need to ensure it is designed to withstand the required building regulation, site specific wind and snow loadings for your exact site, location and building orientation. We do this by obtaining site specific calculations from our UK structural engineer. Not only does this ensure maximum durability and safety, but it avoids any insurance issues that could arise with the more generic calculations offered by many other suppliers.
Once we know if your building requires planning permission, we can manage the application on your behalf or assist your own application by providing all the necessary drawings and plans. Read more about our planning service here.
We will arrange and personally escort you to see a building that is as close a match as possible to your confirmed building.
If groundworks are needed – generally only for our steel roof structures – we will work with our third party civil engineers to ensure the foundations are exactly right for your building.
On the first day of installation we will accompany the crew to site to ensure everything is prepared for the build programme. Our crew are experienced site managers who hold CSCS cards (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) for site health and safety awareness. They also hold the appropriate CITB qualifications for operating plant machinery. Once the build of your modular building is complete (for an average sized building it is typically a working week) we will revisit the site for a building inspection and then final sign off.
For hire contracts we will carry out any maintenance procedures as part of your contract or at cost depending on the nature of the repairs.
